Routine Appointment
Our routine pre-bookable appointments include a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments for you to choose from.
If there are no routine appointments available and you need to be seen urgently, you will be given a triage telephone appointment on the day and the health care professional will arrange with you a face to face appointment if required.

Consultations at the surgery are by 10 minute appointment. If you feel your problem is particularly complex or it involves several problems, please ask for a double appointment with the nurse or doctor. For our pre-bookable routine appointments, we have a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments for you to choose from. You are free to choose the healthcare professional of choice for these appointments.
If there are no routine appointments available and you need to be seen urgently, or you have a baby or young child who needs to be seen urgently, you will be allocated an urgent telephone triage appointment on the day. The healthcare professional will contact you via the telephone to discuss your symptoms and arrange to see you in surgery if required. For urgent appointments, you cannot request the healthcare professional of choice.
If you cannot attend your appointment, please let reception staff know as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.
Extended Hours
We offer an extended hours surgery on a Monday evening for routine appointments until 6.30pm. These appointments are for those patients who cannot attend or answer a telephone call during normal surgery opening hours.
Practice Nurses
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
Home visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10am.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
